Leoni Viljoen

Leoni graduated from the Freestate University in 1997.  She worked in South Africa, Canada, and Scotland, specialising in paediatrics and sport where she worked with professional SA rugby squads and was the team physio for the Scottish National Men's Hockey Team.

She established the practice in Hermanus in 2005 and developed her MAP courses based on the integration of knowledge and experience gained from various new world modalities and treatment environments. Leoni presents the MAP courses across SA and Namibia to enlighten other physios on this effective treatment method - reaching far more patients in pain than she could do by herself. Over time Leoni integrated osteopathy techniques into her treatment.

In 2016 Leoni took a tumble while out on her mountain bike, sustaining multiple spinal fractures. During this time she gained valuable insight into the true meaning of healing, which inspired her with a deep understanding of the human body’s potential to heal - fully!

Leoni cherishes time spent with her husband and 2 kids - even more so in the sun, on the beach, boogie boarding, trail running or merely next to the sports field.
